The Mindjet Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use Mindjet’s products and services, including information provided when you register for, trial and use Mindjet Catalyst. In addition, the following describes our privacy practices that are specific to Mindjet Catalyst.
Personal information
You need to establish a Mindjet ID and a Mindjet Catalyst account to use Mindjet Catalyst. If you don’t already have a Mindjet ID when you seek to establish your Mindjet Catalyst account, one will be created for you. Mindjet asks for some personal information when you create a Mindjet ID or a Mindjet Catalyst account, including, among other things, your name, email address and password. A Mindjet ID allows you to access many of our services that require registration. We may ask for more information to establish a Mindjet ID in the future.
Mindjet stores, processes and maintains your posted workspace content and other data related to your account in order to provide the service to you.
When you use Catalyst, Mindjet’s servers record certain information about your use of Catalyst. Similar to other web services, Mindjet records information such as account activity (including, but not limited to, storage usage, number of log-ins, workspace usage, invitation activity, chat usage, type of content stored) and other log information (including, but not limited to, browser type, IP address, date and time of access and cookie ID). We use this information to improve and optimize our products and services and to personalize your experience.
Uses
Mindjet maintains and processes your Catalyst account and its contents to provide the Catalyst service to you and to improve the service. For instance, we are developing the ability for Mindjet Catalyst to algorithmically analyze your activity and content and make helpful suggestions from time to time regarding relevant content and information that is available to you in other Mindjet Catalyst workspaces, Mindjet.com and other data storage facilities to which you have access from time to time. Mindjet employees do not review your content or activity for this purpose – the suggestions made are entirely computer-generated. You will be able to opt out of this component of Catalyst.
Mindjet’s computers process the content in your workspaces for various purposes, including formatting and displaying your content, backing up your content, and other purposes relating to providing the Catalyst service.
Mindjet may send you information related to Catalyst or other Mindjet products and services.
Information Sharing
When you invite a prospective account user to your Catalyst account, Catalyst sends an email to the prospective user that includes your name and the name of your account.
We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties except in the limited circumstances described in the Mindjet Privacy Policy. We will not disclose any content in your workspaces to third parties other than invited users, except when we believe we are required to do so by law, such as in compliance with a subpoena.
