You can email maps to other MindManager users, and also to non-users who can use the MindManager viewer to see the maps you send.
In Map View, use the E-mail feature to email the current map and, optionally, its linked documents to other users. In the Multimap Workspace the Send as E-mail command sends multiple map files in one email.
If you are conducting a review you can use the E-mail feature's "for Review" option when you mail the map.
Hint: you can also send a style or template to another user in this way.
To email a map, template or style from Map View:
Click File - E-mail - Mail Recipient (as Attachment) or Mail Recipient (for Review)
These two commands are almost the same with one small exception: The "For Review" command adds a Review follow-up flag to the Outlook email and changes the subject line to "Review ..." . Also, the map automatically opens in Review mode on the recipients system.
To email maps from the Multimap Workspace:
Click the Send as E-mail button on the toolbar.
You will be prompted for options to use for the zip archive. These are the same steps used by the Pack and Go feature to create an archive.
Note: since attachments are stored within the map file itself, and not as separate files, they are always included automatically.
The map(s) and documents compressed into a zip archive, and an email message will be created with the archive included as an attachment.
Note: your email program must be set up as a MAPI server to use this feature. Most email clients have this option. The Send To features will not work with web-based email such as MS Hotmail or AOL.
Sending maps to Non-MindManager users
If the recipient does not have MindManager, they can use the MindManager viewer to see the maps you send. The email you send will contain a link to download the viewer free from the Mindjet web site. Viewer users can view the maps and all linked documents and print them from the map view.
If the recipient prefers not to use the viewer, you can send the map as a graphics file or a PDF file, but any links in the map will not function.
