Use this option to select a default font for the topic notes. Its a good idea to choose the font in the early stages of creating your map.
To select the default notes font:
Click Format - Notes and choose the default font to use
If you change this option after formatting your notes any formatting you have applied will not be changed. If you have reformatted an entire note or all the notes with a different font you will need to remove the formatting to see the default font.
This dialog also contains Hyperlink Options and options for the Ink Background.
The Ink Background setting is for maps with Ink Topic Notes (usually Tablet PC users). It controls whether an image is displayed in the Ink Topic Notes window. By default, the background is a subtle notepad grid to make entering Ink easier. You can change or remove this image.
The HyperlinkOptions tab controls what happens to the files you link to in the Topic Notes when you export your map to Web pages.
Use the Copy file - create relative link option if your web pages will be generated in or moved to a directory that does not contain the files you've linked to, and you want them copied to the proper location automatically.
Use the Do not copy file - create relative link option if you plan to move the source files to the proper directories yourself.
Use the Do not copy file - use link as is option if you plan to leave the source files in the same location.
