Applies to MindManager used with Mindjet Connect.
Remote control enables a participant to use mouse and keyboard commands to control the computer of another participant who is currently in Show mode. The moderator decides who receives remote control rights.
Granting remote control rights involves a certain amount of security risk. If you intend to grant another meeting participant remote control rights, you should be familiar with the security functions explained below. In this way, you can avoid having the meeting participant perform undesirable actions on your computer.
Granting remote control: Only the moderator can grant remote control rights. In addition, the participant whose computer will be remotely controlled must provide explicit approval for this.
Application selection: Only applications and screen elements that the meeting participant has released for sharing can be controlled remotely. You can neither see nor control elements that the participant has not selected in Application selection.
Mouse priority: When remote control is activated, the meeting participant whose computer is controlled remotely retains primary control over the mouse at all times.
Security key: If the person whose computer is being controlled remotely presses the security key (by default F11), he or she will immediately revoke remote control.
The moderator can grant any meeting participant remote control rights.
In the Remote
control column of the Session panel, select the participant
to whom you wish to give remote control rights.
The participant in Show mode is asked whether he would like to grant remote control rights. If he agrees, the selected meeting participant will receive remote control rights and can control the screen using mouse and keyboard actions.
The small hand symbol in the title bar of the Instant Meeting window indicates if
you currently have remote control rights. The participant with remote
control rights is indicated by the Remote control icon
in the Session panel Participants list.
The moderator can revoke remote control rights from a participant by clicking again in the Remote control column of the Session panel.
The participant in Show
mode can revoke remote control rights by clicking
Off in the Mini-panel or in the upper area of
the Meeting Control window or by pressing the security
key - F11.
Using keyboard shortcuts (key combinations such as CTRL+A) is generally possible when remote control is activated.

If the meeting participant in Show mode uses several monitors, when you are in Watch mode you will always see the screen in which the Instant Meeting Control panel is located.
To switch to another screen, the participant whose computer is controlled remotely can use the key combination Ctrl + Alt + S. This will switch the Meeting Control panel to the other screen so you can view it.
