Jump to hyperlink targets

You can add hyperlinks to topics that point to other maps, documents or locations such as Web pages.

Mindjet Connect - you must be a member of the target workspace to jump to a link that points to a workspace or workspace document.

Jump to other maps

When a map has a hyperlink to other maps you can open and switch to them from Map view, Outline view or the Multimap View.

From Map View or Outline View

• Click the topic's map hyperlink icon . The map will open in Map View.

From the Multimap View

• You'll see preview images of all the linked maps. Double-click an image to open and switch to that map.

• A preview image may not be shown for some maps. See Multimap View for details.

Once the map is opened a new workbook tab appears for it, and you can use the tabs to switch between maps.

Jump to a document or location

• Click on the topic's hyperlink icon (ie or  or etc.).

If you move, rename or delete a document that is a link destination all hyperlinks to it will be "broken". If you click on a broken hyperlink you'll get a message that offers you the opportunity to repair it.

Use the built-in Browser

You can display supported hyperlink targets in the MindManager Browser pane. Supported targets include any files (such as HTML files) that can be opened by the browser.

• On the Home tab, click the Hyperlink arrow, and then click Use Built-in Browser for Hyperlinks.

• The Browser uses your system's Microsoft Internet Explorer security settings.

If you navigate to a different location and you want to add the link to your map, on the Browser task pane toolbar, click the Add to Map button. The link is added to the map on the currently selected topic, or on the Central topic if nothing is selected.

Override the Use Built-in Browser for Hyperlinks option

To open a hyperlink outside of MindManager when the Use Built-in Browser for Hyperlinks option is enabled:

• Right-click the hyperlink icon, then click Open Hyperlink Outside MindManager.

Open a hyperlink externally from the Browser window

• If you want to open a hyperlink target that is displayed in the built-in Browser externally in your system browser, click the  Open Outside MindManager button on the Browser toolbar.
