Applies to MindManager used with Mindjet Catalyst.
The main function of a web conference is to share a user's screen with other computers, known as desktop sharing. Mindjet Catalyst's web conference (available as an add-on to the Mindjet Catalyst service) enables you to hold online conferences with multiple participants.
Two roles always participate in a web conference session:
the moderator who starts and directs the web conference.
the participants who join a conference that the moderator has already invited them to join.
Anyone can participate in a web conference, but only Mindjet Catalyst account users with moderator rights can start a conference. At the time of purchase, the Mindjet Catalyst Account Owner assigns moderator rights to specific users, and can re-assign these rights at any time.
Mindjet Catalyst's web conference is only supported on Microsoft Windows systems.
The conference participants can:
Share their screens to show documents or applications
to other participants.
The user who is showing his screen is in Show Mode. Other participants
are in Watch mode. The moderator starts the conference in Show Mode and
then grants Show rights to other participants.
Take turns controlling the screen.
When you are in Show mode you can allow the moderator to grant remote-control
rights to your system to another participant who can then control your
system using mouse and keyboard actions. You can turn off remote-control
of your system at any time.
Draw on the screen using a whiteboard function.
Use voice (VoIP) and video communication during the conference.
Transfer files to other participants
