New from existing map

You can add to or modify an existing map without changing the original.

Create a map

1. Do one of the following:

• On the Quick Access Toolbar, click the New arrow .

• Click the MindManager Button and point to New.

2. Click From Existing Map.

3. Select the map you want to use as the basis for the new map.

Create a workspace map

1. Do one of the following in the Workspace Manager window

2. On the Quick Access Toolbar, click the New arrow .

3. Click the Workspace Manager Button and point to New.

2. Click From Existing Map.

3. Select the map you want to use as the basis for the new map.

A copy of the map will open with a temporary name, and you can make changes and additions to it. When you save the map you will be prompted for a new file name, so the original will not be changed.
