The File tab in the mapping window lets you save and print your map, or open a different map.
Maps are automatically saved at intervals. Between saves, the pending changes are accumulated.
ProjectDirector will ask you if you want to save your pending changes any time the map will be closed (for example, when you switch to a different view, or log out). You can also save these at any time:
In mapping window, click File > Save.
If your Internet connection is interrupted while you are editing a map, ProjectDirector remembers your pending changes and applies them when your connection resumes.
While you are waiting for your Internet connection to resume, you can do any of the following:
Continue editing the map with a Mindjet desktop version (see how).
Leave the map open in ProjectDirector and wait. When your connection resumes your pending changes will be automatically applied.
Close ProjectDirector until your connection resumes. When you connect to the Internet again, log in to your account and open the map. Your pending changes will be applied automatically.
In mapping window, click File > Open.
You'll switch back to the Projects view where you can select a new map to open.
You can print the current view of a map from the mapping window. It will print with topics expanded or collapsed, hidden or visible, just as you see on your screen. You can click and drag to select an area of the map to print.
In the mapping window, click File > Print.
In the Print Preview, choose the options you want to use.
Hint: Click and drag on the map preview to select a specific area to print.
Click Print.
The map prints to your default printer.
